The Master Association Sports Courts are intended for the use and enjoyment of the valid MLMA Facilities Pass holders and their guests. The Sports Courts include the Tennis, Basketball, and Volleyball Courts.
The Master Association may reserve any courts for special events, including but not limited to yard sales, etc. Notice of such events will be posted at the courts or Business Office at least one week in advance of the event.
The Volleyball and Basketball Courts are not located within a secured fenced area. The Tennis Courts are located within a secured fenced area. Access to the Tennis Courts is by use of a key or lock combination located in the Business Office. Valid MLMA Facilities Pass holders shall have access to the key or combination once they sign in and present a valid facilities pass to the staff in the Business Office.
The Sports Courts are amenities provided by the Master Association. All users shall use the Sports Courts and their equipment in a proper manner and shall leave the Sports Courts in good condition. All equipment must be used in accordance with the manufacturers' instructions and recommendations. which includes but is not limited to recommended age, weight and height.
Persons using the Sports Courts equipment do so at their own risk. The Master Association and its agents, the Board and directors, Master Association officers and the Master Association Management assume no responsibility or liability for any accident or injury in connection with such use or for any loss or damage to person or property.
A. Rules of Operation
i. The Tennis Courts are open from 10:00 AM to dark, 7 days a week. All other Sports Courts, which include volleyball and basketball, are open from dawn to dark, 7 days a week. The Board reserves the right to change the hours of operation by posting the new hours.
ii. Valid MLMA Facilities Pass holders who wish to use the Tennis Courts must sign-in at the Community Center office before playing.
iii. The Sports Courts will be closed for inclement weather.
B. Restrictions
i. Pets are not allowed on the Sports Courts except for a service animal accompanying a person with a disability.
ii. The Sports Courts users shall be considerate of other users by keeping noise levels appropriate.
iii. No food or drink may be brought into or consumed on the Sports Courts, with the exception of nonÂalcoholic beverages contained in non-glass, spill-proof containers.
iv. No valid MLMA Facilities Pass holders may charge fees for personal instruction, or for conducting classes, in the facility without the prior approval of the Board of Directors.
v. No play equipment including skates and skate boards, toys, play pens, wheeled vehicles including bicycles (except wheelchairs), shoe skates, gum or street shoes are permitted on the Sports Courts.
C. Use of the Sports Courts
i. The Sports Courts shall be available for use on a first come, first served basis. Use of the Sports Courts shall be limited to a one hour time limit if there are persons waiting to use the Sports Courts.
ii. Usage of the Sports Courts must be conducted in a safe manner with due respect and consideration for others who are sharing the Sports Courts as well as for those who live in the nearby neighborhoods, particularly during early morning and late evening play.
iii. Sports Courts rules and courtesies apply at all times. Rough play or abusive conduct is not permitted. The use of profane or obscene language is not permitted.
iv. Only shoes designated specifically for the Sports Courts are permitted. Proper attire should be worn.
v. Specific Rules for the Tennis Courts include:
a) Single play time limit of one hour and double play time limit of one and one half hours if there are persons waiting to use the Tennis Courts.
b) No more than four players per court are permitted.
c) The Tennis Courts gates must be locked at all times.
vi. All injuries or accidents that occur on the Sports Courts shall be reported immediately to the Business Office.
